Wow, what a debut!
Brittany Gossin’s Dream Walker is a must-read for new and seasoned fantasy readers. Her world-building is not just exceptional; it’s a portal to a new reality. It didn’t take long for me to understand the different dynamics of the realms and races and feel like a character in her book.
Following Ella’s journey as she grapples with truly understanding her body, her mind, her past, and the present was thrilling. Although the Astral Realm is at war with the King of Nightmares, I would love to be able to step into it with hopes I had that something to be a dream walker.
With the added romance elements, I was held captive throughout. The banter, flirtation, and developments between all relationships (platonic and otherwise) were not just entertaining; they were engrossing. All of the relationships kept me wanting more.
If you like found family, secrets and betrayal, closed-door spice, slow burn, magic, fae, elves, dragons, and demons, this book is definitely for you.
I devoured this book in a couple of days and cannot wait to see more of Ella, her friends, and their adventures in the Astral Realm.
I am rating Dream Walker five out of five stars, with a one for spice due to the closed-door element. It was a fantastic read by a highly devoted author that I cannot wait to read more from.
As always, thanks for reading! 💜
